Meet Dr. Regina Vayner
Dr. Regina Vayner brings a strong surgical background and a deep appreciation for preserving patients’ natural teeth to her work in periodontics and implant dentistry. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York, alongside her siblings and remained in the area through the completion of her Master of Public Health degree before moving to the Midwest to earn her DMD from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
After dental school, Dr. Vayner continued her training with a one-year General Practice Residency at Abington-Jefferson Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania. During that time, she discovered a strong passion for surgical care and went on to complete an Oral Surgery Internship at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. That experience further shaped her perspective on the importance of saving teeth and preserving the natural dentition whenever possible.
She later completed a three-year surgical residency in Periodontics and Oral Implantology at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she also earned her Master of Science degree. During her training, Dr. Vayner worked with Professor Thomas E. Rams on research focused on antibiotic resistance among periodontal pathogens and presented clinical cases at the Northeastern Implant Symposium, the American Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Academy of Periodontology. Most recently, she achieved board certification and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Outside the office, Dr. Vayner enjoys staying active through tennis, cycling, Bikram yoga, and reformer training. When she is not in motion, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
