As the first point of patient contact, our front desk team members play a crucial role for us well beyond their important tasks of scheduling and confirming appointments.
“Patients, especially new ones who don’t know us but have been referred to our office, are sometimes a bit nervous,” notes Cheryl Archibascio, one of the three front-desk faces you may see at our Ambler office. “These patients really don’t want to be at a dental office in general but know that this step is very important for their health. We need to assure them they’re in great hands, make them comfortable and ensure they understand that we will all take care of them, which we will!”
An employee in our Ambler office now for one year, Cheryl previously worked with now-retired dentist Harry Habbel for nearly 30 years.
“Dr. Habbel used to refer patients to Pennsylvania Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics for their gum treatment and dental implant needs,” she recalls. “He was confident that this practice was the best. When I heard about an opportunity here, I jumped at the chance to work with Doctors Fava and Schoenebeck.”
Cheryl, a resident of Hilltown, PA, enjoys working with “this great group of people.” That group also includes the team at the practice’s Bustleton Avenue, Northeast Philadelphia location with whom the Ambler staff periodically meet to share information and goals and keep abreast of technology changes.
Married with five children, ages 19 to 36 and two grandchildren, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family and seven-year-old Maltipoo, Coconut. Favorite activities include long weekends away with her husband, boating, swimming, golfing and kayaking. She also finds time for creative crocheting, producing intricate blankets for family and friends.
“During Covid, I joined a virtual club where we learned various new patterns and techniques with help from videos—it’s still a very rewarding and relaxing hobby.”
